A good day. A bad day.

I think all the traffic that wasn’t in the Chicagoland area was at the truckstop.

A good day. A bad day.

Was it a good day? Yes. Was it a hard day? Yes. I chose it that way. I could have chosen differently, but I don’t shy away from what I think I need to do.

I woke up and got to my delivery on time. I’d never been there before, but traffic in the Chicago area cooperated for once. Yay! I did almost make a wrong turn and tangled up traffic behind me for a minute. I appreciated the patience and grace that I was given by the driver directly behind me while I got myself untangled.

Even the drive out of the delivery to the next location went relatively smoothly. Traffic smoothly flowing in Chicagoland is a rarity and I was grateful beyond measure for that.

Pickup in the next location? Smooth. Checked the clock to make sure I could make it back to the yard with the drive clock I had. Yes!

Fueling and scaling took a little patience on my part. I think all the traffic that wasn’t in the Chicagoland area was at the truckstop. I even braved going into the store for a minute and could not believe the number of people. Doesn’t anybody work anymore? Sheesh.

That was the majority of the good day. I was still running smoothly, the weather wasn’t too horrible. The clouds were shaping up to provide a bit of excitement and the wind wasn’t helping my truck stay centered, but it wasn’t bad.

Then I turned on the UK Rape Gang Report stream that Asmongold uploaded to YouTube. The man literally read the entire thing on his channel with very little of his usual commentary. Seven hours of tears later, I'm horrified and emotionally raw.
